You may be like most people who have never hired a DJ company before your upcoming event. You may not know what are the right questions to ask, other than "How much do you Charge?" 

It is our hope the information we provide in the following questions and answers will assist you to choose which mobile disc jockey service is the right fit for your event needs.

We are confident in our services to you. Quoting a fee for our services is not the same as a price for a product. A quote is easy to provide but some information is required to consider before an accurate quote can be given. 

If you are only concerned with the expense of the fee, with no consideration for the services provided or the detail of the work needing done for you - then we may not be the right DJ company for you. However, if you will provide us some basic information about your upcoming event such as date, times, services needed ect then we can provide you a responsible and timely quote for you.

We know singing Karaoke with your family and friends can be great fun. While this is a popular request among many people, we do not offer Karaoke services. 

Totally Mobile DJs specializes in select event services. We focus on music and dancing and choose not to dabble or experiment in other forms of entertainment. 

We will be happy to refer you to a Karaoke service if those will better suit your needs.

The question of "full-time" or "Part-time" service seems only to be an issue for some DJ companies as a point of contention for "dedicated service" to customers. We are NOT telling you this is a bad thing. Because, there are DJ companies who make their business their sole profession and their 24/7 365 day a year job. That is notable and respectable for this industry of many amatuer companies. 

But with some "Full-time" DJ companies come justifiably premium rates. This does not imply their service is superior to DJ companies who operate full service businesses during select operational hours. Full service DJ companies are able to charge rates by performance need not billable hours such as an attorney.  

Any parent can agree they are "full-time" moms & dads while they are also responsible for other duties. Their lack of presence 24 hours a day does not suggest they are not available when needed. 

We offer our clients FULL Service and many forms of contact if and when needed to be available "on call".  Please rest assured you can contact us as needed or receive a timely response as soon as possible.

Our comprehensive music library spans multiple genres and decades of music. The catalog of music by original artists we use covers the following formats and more:

The era of mainstream music spans the 50s & 60s through the 80s and 90s into "today's best hits". We procure our music via commercially licensed sources including TM Studio and BPM Supreme who also provide the same content to fm radio stations.

Our business is service. We are hired to entertain you as well as your invited guests. Not only do we openly encourage music requests, we also go the extra mile by providing "Make a request via text" cards for guests who do not want to approach the DJ. Guests can request songs from their cell phones at their seats if they wish. 

ALSO We provide planning tools to clients to special request specific important MUST PLAY songs that are wanted/needed for the event as well as DO NOT PLAY lists. 

When we say "standard" we imply these things are customary and expected within the industry we work. Here we provide a short list of standard expectations for any event we cater:

• We will meet with you during your planning process. There is never a fee for meeting a client or consultation. 

• DJ attire will always be professional and equal to event expectations. DJs will never perform less than business casual dress. Shirt and tie or suit/tuxedo if appropriate.

• You will never need include the DJ staff in meals. 

• DJs do not require any gratuity for services they have already been secured to perform. 

• We only use acceptable industry standard professional grade equipment for both sound and lighting. Equipment is routinely inspected.

• Every set up is planned for consideration of space and safety for everyone in attendance. We care about the health and safety of everyone in addition to venue property.

• DJs will not condone or participate in any illegal action. We adhere to all federal, state and local law statutes. 

• Every wedding event service comes standard with Emcee announcements, introductions, wireless microphones for speeches and all event staples expected as customary for that event. 

• We do not discriminate against any race, color, creed, nationality or sexual orientation. We respect every culture and custom while we reserve the right to refuse any request or order that could potentially be suggested or implied as damaging our company image or reputation.

• We do not guarantee to have every requested song available. We also cannot guarantee every song requested will be played. 

• DJ cannot be held responsible for the actions of clients or guests or venue staff. DJ is also not responsible for weather conditions or any act of God situations that may occur.

** We offer our services to the general public in an ethical and appropriate manner fitting of public performance. Quality and integrity are not merely slogans but foundational principles we apply in every event we cater. 

We are mobile event service providers it is our personal and professional responsibility to plan for the worst and work towards the best as anyone can. We maintain $1,000,000 liability coverage with waiver available upon request.

We have served our community for 30 years and been privileged to work for many fun-loving good people. We respect their privacy  by not sharing their contact information with every potential client. However we can provide proof of references upon request.
